Zoie Epps has been named the Conference USA Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after contributing to two significant road wins for Louisiana Tech. The announcement was made by the league office on Wednesday.

Epps played a key role in leading Louisiana Tech to 4-1 victories over UAB and Jacksonville State, extending the team’s current winning streak to five matches. Competing at the No. 1 singles position, she won both matches in straight sets, losing only five games in total. On Saturday, Epps defeated UAB’s Kristyna Damaskova 6-1, 6-2, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win against Polina Ramenskaja of Jacksonville State on Sunday.

Following these results, Epps now has 44 career dual singles wins at Louisiana Tech, which ties her for tenth place in program history. She holds an overall record of 8-1 this spring and is currently on a five-match winning streak.

This is the fourth time that Epps has received CUSA Athlete of the Week honors. She has also earned five CUSA Doubles Team of the Week awards, including two this season with partner Isabella Walker.
