How many Asian students were enrolled in Claiborne Parish schools in 2023-24 school year?

There were nine Asian students enrolled in Claiborne Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 18.2% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Claiborne Parish welcomed 1,828 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the seven schools within the parish, Homer Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of four students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
