How many multiracial students were enrolled in Jackson Parish schools in 2023-24 school year?

There were 75 multiracial students enrolled in Jackson Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 5.6% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Jackson Parish welcomed 2,008 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 3.7% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the five schools within the parish, Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 25 students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
