There were 1,710 students enrolled in Claiborne Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.6% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.3% of them were girls, and 48.7% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 66.9% of the Claiborne Parish School District total enrollment.

Claiborne Parish School District covers approximately six schools within Claiborne Parish, with its main office in Homer.

Among the six schools in Claiborne Parish School District, Homer Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 389 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
