Louisiana Tech University Foundation recently welcomed three new team members to its team, Brittany Brown, Christie Govan, and Allison Milan.
“We are proud to have Brittany, Christie, and Allison join the Division of University Advancement,” said Brooks Hull, Vice President for University Advancement and Chief Executive Officer. “They bring passion and expertise to our Division, and I look forward to seeing the impact each of their roles will bring to University Advancement and our support of Louisiana Tech’s programs and initiatives.”
Brown joined the University Foundation as Data Analytics Coordinator on April 25. She is responsible for maintaining and analyzing the Foundation’s database and will provide prospect research in support of the University’s development officers. Brown earned bachelor’s degrees in English and Public Administration from Texas State University and her master’s in English Literature and Languages from Texas A&M University. She brings 14 years’ experience in public education and administration to her new position. Through her leadership as Associate Principal at Laura Bush Middle School, she and her team implemented systems to analyze data on student populations resulting in improved student development, instructional efforts, attendance rates, and behavior expectations.
Govan joined the team as the University Advancement Office Manager on May 2. She brings an eye for detail and experience in office management to her new role and will manage data entry for the Division of Advancement. Govan earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Grambling State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree through Southern New Hampshire University. Govan brings 17 years of experience in office management, accountancy, and data analytics to her role at Louisiana Tech.
A certified public accountant, Milan earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting at Louisiana Tech. She began her role as the Foundation’s Director of Accounting on June 1. Milan will oversee the accounting function and internal operating controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Milan brings a high level of skill and a focus on process improvement and innovation as a result of her financial services and public accounting experience at Origin Bank and KPMG, LLP.
