95 percent of applicants to Grambling State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Grambling State University, 76 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Grambling enrolled 5,205 students in fall 2018, including 4,110 in undergraduate and 1,095 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Louisiana, and 41 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (90 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (2 percent).

The school admitted 95 percent of the 3,275 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 30 percent enrolled.
