Louisiana Tech’s women’s tennis team is set for a two-day road trip, facing UT Arlington and North Texas in consecutive matches. The Bulldogs will play UT Arlington at the UTA Tennis Center on Sunday, Feb. 15 at noon CT, followed by a match against North Texas at the Waranch Tennis Complex in Denton on Monday, Feb. 16 at noon CT.

The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 3-2 record after splitting their most recent matches—a 4-0 shutout win over Bellarmine and a 6-1 loss to Mississippi State. In singles play this spring, LA Tech has compiled a 14-13 record, with Zoie Epps, June Vigneron, and Isabella Walker each securing three wins. The team has shown particular strength on courts five and six, achieving a combined 7-2 record.

In doubles competition, LA Tech holds an overall record of 8-6. Epps and Walker recently achieved the program’s highest-ranked doubles victory by defeating Mississippi State’s ninth-ranked pair at the No. 1 spot. This accomplishment earned them their second CUSA Doubles Team of the Week honor.

UT Arlington comes into Sunday’s match with a season record of 2-4 after earning its first two victories last week against UT Dallas and Lubbock Christian but falling to SMU. The Mavericks have posted an 8-16 mark in dual singles play and are 2-11 in dual doubles so far this season. Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series against UT Arlington, holding a narrow advantage of four wins to three; their last meeting was in 2014 when LA Tech won 4-2.

North Texas stands at an even 3-3 after recording three consecutive wins before being defeated by TCU last weekend. The Mean Green have matched LA Tech’s singles performance with a combined record of 14-13 this spring and are strong in doubles on the top two courts with a combined record of 6-2 there. Carolina Laydner anchors North Texas from the No.1 position with three wins out of four matches this spring; overall, UNT is 6-8 in dual doubles action.

North Texas leads its all-time series against Louisiana Tech by fourteen wins to three; however, LA Tech ended a thirteen-match losing streak to North Texas last season with a narrow victory in Ruston.
