Louisiana Tech will play against Tarleton State on April 3 at the LA Tech Tennis Complex, with the match set to begin at 10 a.m. Two Bulldogs players, Mio Kozaki and Diana Starodubtseva, will be recognized as part of Senior Day celebrations following the match.

The upcoming event is notable for both teams’ recent strong performances. Louisiana Tech enters the contest with a record of 13-3 after defeating Texas State last Saturday. The team has now won seven straight matches against Texas State and holds an eleven-match home winning streak, which ties for the longest in program history.

Zoie Epps leads Louisiana Tech in singles play with a season record of 13-1 at the top position, having lost only two sets all year. Her recent win marked her forty-ninth career dual singles victory, tying her for sixth place in program history. Teammates Maria Tsironi and June Vigneron also secured their eighth singles wins during the last match.

In doubles competition, Vigneron paired with Starodubtseva to achieve a fourth win out of five matches as a new duo on court three. Epps and Isabella Walker have also maintained their presence in national rankings by remaining listed among the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s top doubles teams for six consecutive weeks.

Tarleton State arrives with a record of 14-5 after extending its winning streak to six matches following a shutout victory over Tyler Junior College. Four Texans players have reached double-digit singles wins this spring, led by Aya Ishii at fifteen victories primarily from the No. 2 position. In doubles play, Ishii and Marissa Minetti have gone undefeated together at No. 1.

This meeting marks the fifth consecutive season that Louisiana Tech and Tarleton State will compete against each other; both teams have won twice in previous encounters.
