Louisiana Tech softball will continue its five-game road trip with a three-game Conference USA series against Middle Tennessee beginning Thursday, Apr. 2. All games will be played at Blue Raider Softball Field in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The matchup is significant as Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series against Middle Tennessee 16-12 and has won the last three meetings between the teams. The two programs have faced each other 23 times as Conference USA members, with Louisiana Tech holding a 15-8 advantage.

Louisiana Tech enters the series with a record of 19-17 after a narrow loss to Northwestern State earlier this week. In that game, Gracie Flores led her team offensively with two hits, including a double and an RBI. Pitchers Allie Floyd and Bryannah Campos combined to allow only three hits and two runs, with Campos delivering her second consecutive relief outing without giving up a hit or run over at least two innings.

Key contributors for Louisiana Tech this season include Elena Heng (44 hits), Allie Furr (38), Bradi Gallaway (33), and Aleah Brooks (32). Reagan Marchant leads in home runs (9) and RBI (29). Floyd has pitched more than 100 innings so far this year, earning eight wins and striking out 82 batters while maintaining a team-best earned run average of 2.63.

Middle Tennessee holds an overall record of 13-19 and is currently on a six-game losing streak after being swept by Western Kentucky University and Sam Houston over recent weekends. The Blue Raiders have been outhit by opponents this season but are led offensively by Jana Want (.300 average) and Macie Harter (.307 average). Mady Pint shares the team lead in home runs (5) with Onnika Spencer.

Looking ahead, both teams will aim to improve their standing within Conference USA during this weekend’s games.
