The stretch begins Thursday night with a matchup against ULM, followed by a weekend series against Southern Miss at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in Ruston. All games will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
The Bulldogs hold a 73-41 advantage in their all-time series with ULM and are ahead 37-18 against Southern Miss. The game against ULM is scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m., while the Southern Miss series will run from Friday through Sunday, with single games each day.
On Tuesday, Louisiana Tech improved its season record to 9-2 after defeating Northwestern State 12-3 in five innings. This win was notable as it was the team’s first run-rule victory of the year and their highest scoring output so far this season.
Four players—Bradi Gallaway, Reese Torres, Allie Furr, and Rosalie Dufresne—each recorded two hits in the win over Northwestern State. Torres led with four RBIs and three runs scored, while Elena Heng contributed two RBIs. Torres also hit a home run for the third consecutive game and is tied with Reagan Marchant for the team lead in home runs at three apiece. Torres currently leads the team with 15 RBIs and seven extra-base hits; her RBI total ranks second in Conference USA entering Thursday’s contest.
Marchant has driven in ten runs this season, tying her with Torres for most runs scored on the team at nine each. Six Bulldogs have reached double digits in hits so far: Aleah Brooks leads with 14, followed by Heng and Furr (12 each), Gallaway (11), and Torres (10).
In pitching, Allie Floyd started Tuesday’s game and threw two innings before Laney Johnson pitched one inning and Bryannah Campos finished with two innings. Johnson earned her fourth win of the season without a loss. The staff holds a collective ERA of 2.61, with Floyd leading in both innings pitched (27) and strikeouts (27). Johnson has logged 19 innings this year; Campos has pitched 17.2 innings and remains undefeated at 2-0.
