The LA Tech Bulldogs will travel to Kennesaw, Georgia for a three-game Conference USA baseball series against Kennesaw State from April 17-19. The games are scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday midday at Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field.
This matchup is notable as it marks the first time the two teams will play each other on Kennesaw State’s home field. The Bulldogs enter the series with a seven-game winning streak and currently hold a record of 22-16 overall and 9-6 in conference play. Their performance in April has been strong, with a team batting average of .283 over their last eight games and an average of more than six runs per game.
Pitching has also been effective for LA Tech this month, as they have posted a team earned run average (ERA) of 2.38. Starting pitcher Declan Dahl has contributed significantly with two starts resulting in just two earned runs allowed over thirteen innings while striking out sixteen batters.
Kennesaw State holds a record of 16-17 overall and is coming off a midweek win against Mercer that ended their four-game losing streak. Offensively, Cooper Williams leads the Owls with a .339 batting average and Jackson Chirello follows at .318; Chirello also leads the team with twenty-seven runs batted in (RBI). On the mound, Cooper McMullen is expected to start the opening game for KSU with Nolan Silver likely starting later in the series.
In previous meetings between these teams, LA Tech leads the all-time series two games to one after winning their last encounter by outscoring Kennesaw State sixteen to five over two games following an initial loss.
