Louisiana Tech secured a 3-2 victory over ULM in an 11-inning game at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field on Thursday night. The win came after Bradi Gallaway hit a solo home run, ending the game in extra innings. Allie Floyd pitched the entire game for the Bulldogs, allowing only two runs and five hits while striking out five.

With this result, LA Tech improved its season record to 10-2 and claimed the first round of the Battle of I-20. Gallaway led the team with three hits, and both Reese Torres and Allie Furr contributed two hits each. Alannah Rogers drove in two runs with a pinch-hit single in the sixth inning, tying the game after ULM had taken a lead in the fifth.

The Bulldogs managed 12 hits compared to ULM’s five but left several runners on base throughout the contest. They had scoring opportunities in multiple innings but were unable to capitalize until late in the game.

Head coach Josh Taylor commented on his team’s performance: “Overall, offensively, there’s 12 hits. I think that there are some good things in there. There are three keys to winning that I talk to these girls about a lot. In order to win championships, you have to play great defense every day, you have to pitch every day, and you need timely hitting. We certainly got the defense for the most part, and then we certainly have the pitching with what Allie [Floyd] did tonight. We lacked a little bit through the game until Bradi’s [Gallaway] big home run and A1’s [Alannah Rogers] pinch-hit two RBI hit. We had plenty of opportunities. We left way too many runners on base tonight, but I am really proud of their fight. Allie [Floyd] has been doing what she what she does since she got here. She was going make us pry the ball out of her hand if we were going to go get her, so we knew she wanted the ball. She knows how much she loves competing, and especially in those situations, and she just kept providing our offense with as many opportunities as they could get, and Bradi [Gallaway] comes out and hits a big home run to walk them off. It was exciting. It was fun, but I am mostly proud of their fight. They never they never quit all game. loved our dugout, our culture. It’s just fantastic. It is a big win for us.”

This victory marks Louisiana Tech’s second extra-inning win this season and their first game lasting more than ten innings since May 2025 during a conference tournament against Liberty. The Bulldogs now hold a 74-41 all-time record against ULM.

Additional notes from the match include Gallaway’s third home run of the season and her fifth multi-hit performance this year; Torres recorded her fourth multi-hit effort of 2026; Floyd struck out at least five batters for the 29th time in her career.

LA Tech will continue its schedule by hosting Southern Miss for a weekend series starting Friday at 6 p.m., with coverage available on ESPN+.
